Hydro Jetting in Tampa

Stubborn drain clogs need more than just a “good plunging” to resolve – they need powerful techniques designed to clear the clogcompletely – and quickly – so your drains work the way they’re supposed to. At Associated Plumbing, our highly-skilled drain experts use hydro-jetting to break down clogs that resist snaking and plunging, flushing them away so your drains are clear of obstructions – even tough-to-destroy clogs of built-up grease and sediment.

What is hydrojetting?

Hydrojetting is a highly effective technique for clearing out stubborn drain clogs that uses powerful streams of pressurized water. Using the same principle as the powerwashers used to clean siding and sidewalks, hydrojetting is powerful enough to remove even the most stubborn clogs, leaving your drains clean and free of buildup so they work just like they did on the day they were installed.

Hydrojetting uses two types of jets – one to break up sediment in front of the hydrojetting tool, and one to help remove debris along the walls of your drains while propelling the tool forward through your drain line. With pressures of 4000 PSI and up, hydrojetting systems can handle even the toughest tasks in private and commercial drain systems.

Hydrojetting vs. Snaking and Solvents

Snaking a drain may help with certain types of clogs involving debris that can be easily grasped and readily removed. But grease and sediment – the two most common causes of drain clogs – can’t be “grabbed” and pulled out. As a result, a snake may penetrate the clog, but it won’t remove it, instead simply creating a small opening that will soon be filled in again by additional accumulation of grease and sediment. Solvent drain cleaners face similar restrictions – while they may “eat away” at a small area of the clog, they don’t have the pressure or force to handle extensive clogs or remove clogs in their entirety.

Hydrojets and their dual-jetting action are specifically designed to break apart major clogs and force residue and debris out of the system entirely, leaving the entire drain – including the sides – free and clear.
